The company also has a Sharia Unit business license based on the letter of the Minister of Finance number KEP 167/KM. 10/2007 issued on August 20, 2007.
Since the launch of its first investment related insurance product (unit link) in 1999, Prudential Indonesia has been the market leader for the product category in Indonesia. Prudential Indonesia provides a wide range of products and services designed to meet and complement the financial needs of its customers in Indonesia. Prudential Indonesia has also established Sharia business units since 2007 and is believed to be the leader of Sharia life insurance market in Indonesia since its founding.
As of 31 December 2017, Prudential Indonesia has its headquarters in Jakarta and marketing offices in Medan, Surabaya, Bandung, Denpasar, Batam and Semarang. Prudential Indonesia serves more than 2.3 million customers through more than 277,000 licensed marketers in the 408 Independent Marketing Office (KPM) across the archipelago including Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Batam and Bali.
